Dr. Samson Sanjay Toppo Takes Charge as Registrar, Pledges Strong Reforms in Jharkhand Veterinary Council

Dr. Samson Sanjay Toppo, President of the Jharkhand Veterinary Service Association and known for his honesty, dedication, and dynamic leadership, has formally assumed charge as the Registrar of the Jharkhand Veterinary Council. For many years, Dr. Toppo has been consistently fighting for the rights, dignity, service security, and professional interests of all veterinarians working under the Jharkhand Animal Husbandry Service. He is being widely appreciated within the veterinary community for his commitment, transparency, and strong leadership qualities.
Addressing the gathering after assuming charge, Dr. Toppo stated that his top priority would be to complete the Council’s election process within the next three months and to develop the Council into a strong, active, and accountable institution. He further emphasized that strict action would be taken to effectively control quack veterinary practitioners in the state and to prevent the misuse of Schedule-H category drugs, ensuring that livestock owners receive safe, scientific, and high-quality veterinary services.

On this occasion, Dr. Janet Bhagat, Technical Superintendent of the Jharkhand Veterinary Council, shared detailed information about the Council’s functioning, responsibilities, and future plans. She informed that the Registrar’s post had been vacant for the past six months and continuous efforts were being made to fill the position. With her persistent efforts, this important responsibility has now been revived.
The event was attended by several distinguished veterinarians and officials including Dr. Kavindra Nath Singh (DAHO, Ranchi), Dr. Manoj Kumar Mani (RO), Dr. Deepak Oraon, Dr. Anshu Toppo, Dr. Pratima, Dr. Rakhi Toppo, Dr. Amit, Dr. Pankaj, Dr. Roseline, Dr. Nishi Kiran Verma (Assistant Director, Poultry), Dr. Mahima, Dr. Vijayant, Dr. Abhinav, Dr. Deepti Minz, and Dr. Tanveer Akhtar.
