Prof. Hari Mohan Saxena wins International Life Time Achievement Award
Dr. Hari Mohan Saxena from Jaipur has been conferred the prestigious International Distinguished Life Time Achievement Award for his research contributions in Immunology and infectious diseases. The coveted award was presented to him by Prof. Luis G Luna from Mexico and Prof. Shizuyo Sutou from Japan on behalf of the Scopus Index Conclave and Asia Research Awards at Tiruchirapally, recently. He has also been admitted as a Member of the American Chambers of Research.

Dr. Saxena is a retired Professor of Immunology and former Head of Veterinary Microbiology Department of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana. He has also served as Counsellor (S&T) at the Embassy of India in Russia and as the Director (Resident Instructions) cum Dean, Postgraduate Studies at Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna. Presently, Dr. Saxena is a National Level Monitor with the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India and an Expert with the FSSAI of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of India.
Dr. Saxena has developed a new bacteriophage based immunotherapy for Brucellosis in cattle and a non – invasive molecular method for monitoring and assessment of efficacy of new antibacterial therapies which could be game changers in developing new therapies for the global fight against the impending pandemic of antimicrobial resistance among bacteria which cause serious illnesses like Brucellosis, TB etc. in humans and animals. He has also obtained American and European patents for his innovation in immunodiagnosis of infectious diseases. He has published 110 research papers, 3 books and 50 articles and presented 76 research papers at international and national conferences in India and abroad.
The selection for the award was made from among 2350 applicants from several countries following stringent process. The award acknowledges his exceptional contributions to immunology and ground breaking advancements in diagnosis and control of important infectious diseases. The Asia Research Awards honors excellence in various disciplines and is recognized globally. It is affiliated with the World Research Council, United Medical Council, American Chamber of Research, Times of Research and Chronicles Times. The Scopus Index Conclave is the flagship conference meeting of the Asia Research Awards.
