Telangana’s Korutla Veterinary College Hosts Mega Multi-State Recruitment Drive to Strengthen India’s Animal Health Workforce

In a significant step toward strengthening India’s animal health service delivery systems, the College of Veterinary Science, Korutla, under P. V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, organized a four-day Mega Multi-State Recruitment Drive from 9–12 February 2026. The initiative reinforced the institution’s growing role in aligning veterinary education with emerging workforce demands across India’s expanding livestock health infrastructure.

The recruitment drive brought together public health service providers, mobile veterinary service operators, animal welfare organizations, and private sector enterprises engaged in field-based livestock healthcare, regulated abattoir management, and rural veterinary outreach. The event reflected the increasing national demand for trained veterinary professionals amid the rapid expansion of Mobile Veterinary Units (MVUs) and farmer-centric service delivery models across multiple states.

Multi-State Institutional Participation

The four-day initiative witnessed participation from organizations operating across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Haryana, and neighboring regions.

– 9 February 2026: Ms. Pooja Rathi, Project Administrator, Community Action Through Motivation Programme (CAMP), conducted online interviews for Veterinary Officer positions in Mobile Veterinary Units serving Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

– 10 February 2026: Bavya Health Services conducted campus interviews for BVSc & AH graduates. The recruitment process was led by Dr. S. L. Narayana Murthy (State Project Head, Bihar), Mr. K. Mohan Babu (State Project Head), and Mr. K. S. Rahul (State HR Head, Andhra Pradesh). Positions were offered for Veterinary Doctors in the 1962 Mobile Veterinary Units functioning across Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh.

– 11 February 2026: Interviews were conducted by Dr. G. Neha and Mr. K. Ganga Sai under the online supervision of Dr. Srinivas Karnati, Founder Secretary, Animal Welfare Society, Hyderabad, for Mobile Veterinary Units serving Telangana and neighboring states. On the same day, Dr. Ashish Deogade, representing Laham Foods Pvt. Ltd., conducted online interviews for Veterinary Officer positions in abattoirs located in Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.

– 12 February 2026: The recruitment drive concluded with interviews led by Dr. Bagish Mishra, State Programme Manager, Mr. B. Kiran Kishore, State HR Head, and K. Raveendra Kumar, Assistant HR, EMRI Green Health Services, Telangana, for Veterinary Doctor positions in the 1962 Mobile Veterinary Units operating across Telangana.

Strengthening the Education–Employment Continuum

Students from the Colleges of Veterinary Science at Korutla and Warangal actively participated in the recruitment initiative. According to *Dr. Radhakriisshna Pulikanti*, College Placement Cell Officer and Head of the Department of Veterinary Physiology, nearly 80 graduates were selected as Veterinary Doctors across multiple states.

He stated that the recruitment drive marked a significant milestone in structured campus-to-career transition and demonstrated strong alignment between veterinary education and the evolving requirements of India’s decentralized animal health delivery systems.

Institutional Leadership and National Significance

*Prof. Dr. Dasari Sreenivas*, Associate Dean of the College of Veterinary Science, Korutla, commended the coordinated efforts of the Placement Cell, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and participating students. He emphasized that preparing graduates for roles in mobile veterinary services, livestock health management, and integrated rural animal healthcare systems is critical for strengthening national livestock development and improving service accessibility.
