 Introduction

Chicken egg is one of the most nutritious and universally accepted foods in the world. It is consumed by people of different cultures, age groups, and economic backgrounds because it is affordable, tasty, easy to prepare, and highly beneficial for health. Eggs are often referred to as a “complete food” because they contain almost all essential nutrients required by the human body except vitamin C. They provide an ideal combination of protein, fats, vitamins, and minerals in natural form.

In many developing countries such as India, eggs are considered an important solution to combat malnutrition, especially among children and women. Due to rapid urbanization and busy lifestyles, eggs have become even more popular because they are quick to cook and can be used in many food preparations. Beyond nutrition, eggs also contribute to employment generation, rural development, and food security through the poultry industry.
