Dr. Hari Mohan Saxena conferred Global Leadership Award by NGO – UNESCO Liaison Committee affiliated with the United Nations
Prof. Hari Mohan Saxena has been conferred the prestigious Global Leadership Award 2025 for excellence in global one health. The award was conferred on him by the NGO – UNESCO Liaison Committee having a Consultative and Observer status with the United Nations. The award was presented to him by Economic Counsellor of Embassy of El Salvador and other senior diplomats at the International Conference on Small and Medium Enterprises organized recently in New Delhi by the World Association of Small & Medium Enterprises and attended by Ambassadors and diplomats from several countries and bureaucrats and corporate leaders from India.
Dr. Saxena is a National Level Monitor with the Union Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He has earlier served as Counsellor (S&T) in the Embassy of India, Russia and as Director (Resident Instructions) cum Dean, Postgraduate Studies at Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna. While serving as a Professor of Immunology and Head of Microbiology Department at the Veterinary University GADVASU in Ludhiana, Dr. Saxena has made several original scientific contributions in Immunology and infectious disease diagnosis and control. He has done pioneering research work on bacteriophage based therapies of important zoonotic disease Brucellosis and non invasive monitoring and assessment of new antibacterial therapies which could prove to be game changers in the era of global antibiotic resistance.
