HOW TO MANAGE THE SHRIMP FARMING DURING COVID-19 & CURFEW

Aquaculture products neither over ripe nor get spoiled as long as they are in pond water conditions.And the pond water is maintained with proper care with keeping an Eye on physico chemical and biological parameters.Now coming to the present scenario take the following precautionary measures to over come the problem.1. The pond water may be tested ,treated with suitable disinfectants and maintain hygiene water conditions.2. Administer only 50%of the regularly given feeds.3. Maintain Optimum natural foods that’s Biofloc-phyto and zooplankton.4. Suspect or confirm any disease occurrence in cultured shrimp – first segregate, remove the infected ones and transfer them to a new pond or plastic, taurpalin , cement tanks.5. Start treating them with suitable theraupautants and avoid contaminations.6. The entire pond soroundngs may be covered with fencing,so that no bird,dog,cat or any animal act as a disease career.7. Search for a Cold storage where in you can stock the harvested shrimps in safe, hygiene standards.8. In no other alternative methods available and confirm viral,( WSSV) bacterial (Vibrio),Fungal(EHP) infections, and harvest is the only left over choice to avoid heavy loss ,Go for harvesting and keep the total Cultured shrimp in a Cold storage and as and when the prices hike ,sell them.8. After taking a decision to harvest inform the Police,(dial 100) Fisheries dept officers for permissions to transfer the shrimps.
