ABOUT

The institution of Pashudhan Samriddhi India Awards 2021 is a small step in this direction to further the cause of Indian Veterinary & livestock sector. Inclusion of technologies and value addition has increased the scope and opportunities in the Livestock segment. The glory amassed by the sector is the result of the continuous efforts and struggles at individual and organizational levels. Indian dairy & Poultry industry has risen in success, fame and glory. And in this journey of transformation from a backyard activity to a global leadership position, many individuals and institutions have played seminal roles. These role models need to be admired and recognized. Pashudhan Praharee as the media and policy catalyst has always been on the forefront in providing information related to livestock & agriculture globally.

The institution of the Pashudhan Samriddhi India Awards 2021 was a significant step in this direction to recognize the contributions of various stake-holders in Livestock & agriculture. The Awards are given annually in different categories to those individuals and organizations, who have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The National Awards Committee is headed by the world renowned Veterinary scientist, Dr. N. Sharma, with twenty six persons of national eminence as its members. The Pashudhan Samriddhi Awards shall be presented on the last Saturday of April (World Veterinary Day) every year in New Delhi or any other places in India as decided by the Governing committee.

Globally, Livestock has transformed significantly over the years; from being a means of subsistence to now market linked and commercialized with application of advance technologies and integration. Livestock in India has also come a long way from the days of ‘ship to mouth’ to a situation of ‘warehouses overgrowing with food grains & Livestock produce’. Livestock is evolving into Livestock-agribusiness and getting more market focused with value chain development, IT application and market spread, driven by the progressive government policies, aggressive play by institutions and the entry of large corporate in food and Livestock-agriculture businesses. The role of these stake-holders in driving the growth and value added transformation of farms sector is commendable. But, most of them do not get any recognition for their contributions to the Livestock & agriculture and for empowering farmers.

Responding to the need at the national and global level to recognize the contributions of various stake-holders in Livestock & agriculture, Pashudhan Praharee took a step forward to reward and motivate individuals and organizations for their playing leadership roles in Livestock & agriculture. The selection of Awardees will be done through a two tier system. There are Awards SubCommittees, headed by one member of the National Committee. All the applications and nominations received by the Awards Secretariat are put up to the respective Sub-Committees, which in turn will recommend names to the National Committee for the final selection.

OBJECTIVE

The Pashudhan Samridhi Awards celebrates and honours the contributions of people who have excelled in the field of Livestock rearing/ development, Fishery, animal husbandry , Veterinary sciences & Animal welfare. The initiative emphasizes the significant role played by livestock farmers & people directly or indirectly associated with animal husbandry, fishery, veterinary sciences ,one world ,One health concept in society thereby appreciating their outstanding performance and perseverance.
The aim of this award is to facilitate a platform for achievers. In this way their achievements is celebrated and showcased in the society. This will also empower the younger generation and ignite them to be a noble contributor to the society.
The award motivates ambition, empower confidence, social responsibility and inspire new leaders now and into the future. This Award is open to all across the Globe.

RULES FOR ENTRY

Entrants are advised to familiarize themselves with the criteria before entering and to comply with the requirements of the entry rules as strictly as possible.
Each category will comprise of one or more awards for individual or institution/ organization.
If entering the same piece of work in different categories please submit in duplicate copies.
No individual or organization will be considered for an award in consecutive years
The judges and the organizers reserve the right to reject the entries if they feel it does not comply with the spirit of the awards.
The awards will be made solely at the discretion of the judges, no feedback or correspondence will be entertained\ about the results, and the judges’ decision is final.
Entries will not be returned. After judging, all entries may be retained by Pashudhan Praharee for its archives.
All successful entrants only will be notified of the decision by the due date
Pashudhan Praharee reserves the right to make copies of the entries for publication in various forms
The Awards will have to be received by the Awardee himself / herself in individual cases and in cases of organizations/ industry by only the head of the organization
