Veterinary Association of India Constitutes Telangana State Chapter (VAI-TG)
Hyderabad, August 20, 2026: The Veterinary Association of India (VAI) has constituted and announced its Telangana State Chapter (VAI-TG), bringing together senior administrators, academicians, scientists, field veterinarians, pet practitioners, veterinary professionals and veterinary students to strengthen the veterinary profession, promote animal welfare and advance the mission and activities of VAI across Telangana.
Dr. M. V. Reddy, IAS (Retd) has been designated as State President, while Dr. Suresh Pothani will serve as State Associate President. Prof. (Dr.) M. Kishan Kumar and Dr. K. Simha Rao have been designated as State Vice Presidents. Prof. (Dr.) D. Sakaram will serve as State Treasurer, and Dr. Pulikanti Radhakriisshna as State Secretary.
Dr. B. Bhagavan Reddy and Dr. A. Anjaiah have been designated as State Joint Secretaries, while Dr. G. Shambhu Lingam and Prof. (Dr.) Sujatha Singh will serve as State Organizing Secretaries.
The State Executive Committee comprises Dr. Suresh Vadraf, Dr. Saluvaji Sridhar, Dr. B. B. Venkata Raju, Dr. Pottala Venkateshwarlu, Dr. A. Harish Goud, Dr. P. Prasanna, Dr. Ch. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Manchikatla Srinivas, Dr. S. Ranjith Kumar, Dr. J. Razia Sultana, Dr. Maloth Pallavi, Dr. Mohd. Sajeed, Dr. Suman Palthyavath, Mr. J. Mallesh and Mr. K. Himesh.
The State Advisory Board includes Dr. Manmohan Singh, IAS (Retd), Dr. V. Prabhakara Rao, Ex. VC, Dr. K. Kondal Reddy, Ex. Registrar, and Dr. Panduranga Rao. The State Experts Panel comprises Prof. (Dr.) V. Ramasubba Reddy, Prof. (Dr.) B. Ramesh Gupta and Dr. Ashok Kumar Valupadasu.
Recognising the diverse areas of veterinary practice, Dr. M. Nagaraju Yadav has been designated as State Convener, Field Veterinarians Forum, while Dr. D. Muralidhar has been designated as State Convener, Pet Practitioners Forum.
The newly constituted VAI Telangana State Chapter is expected to serve as a common professional platform for the veterinary fraternity across Telangana, fostering professional interaction, knowledge sharing, scientific activities and collaborative initiatives for the advancement of the veterinary profession and animal welfare in the State.
The Veterinary Association of India extended its heartiest congratulations to the entire VAI-TG team and wished the Chapter every success in advancing the veterinary profession, animal welfare and the mission of VAI in Telangana.
